Marvel is organizing worldwide in-store memorials for the launch of Death of Wolverine #1 on September 3rd. The company is offering a retailer kit for hosting a "Death of Wolverine Memorial," which includes offers for limited edition variant covers, lithographs, memorial postcards and event advertising materials.
For those that opt in to the memorial event, there is a "Deadpool Memorial" variant cover being offered, which is tied to order thresholds, a Death of Wolverine #1 Skottie Young variant art lithograph (bundles of 20), and a Death of Wolverine Memorial Card (bundles of 20).
Event invitation post cards (bundles of 100), which will ship the week of August 13th, will also be available. The promotional kits will also include shelf talkers about the upcoming event as well as social media listings of the store as a participant in the "Death of Wolverine #1 Memorial."
Other incentive items which can be ordered separately include variant cover editions by Joe Quesada, Alex Ross, Skottie Young, Pasqual Ferry, and two unnamed artists (one of which may be the Ed McGuinness’ “Mortal Variant” – which was already revealed here--see "Marvel Unveils 'Death of Wolverine' #1 Mortal Variant").
Marvel also recently unveiled the regular series covers for issue 2 – 4 (see "'Death of Wolverine' Issue Covers").
