Bushiroad will release a new Persona 4 ver. E expansion for its Weiss Schwarz TCG.  The Trial Deck and Booster Pack will release on October 24.

This set is based on the Persona 4: The Animation sci-fi mystery anime produced by AIC ASTA, and licensed in North America by Sentai Filmwork.  The series is based on the Atlus' PlayStation 2 video game of the same name, released in 2008, which has recently been re-released on the PlayStation Network this year.  The video game also received a manga and light novel adaptation in Japan.

The story follows a high school student Yu Narukami, who moves to the countryside and begins investigating mysterious murders while harnessing the power of avatar-like Personas, which the protagonist summons to help him and his friends free kidnapped victims in the mysterious TV World.

The English edition Trial Deck introduces a new product type, ver. E, which is a mixture of cards exclusive to the English release.  This product encompasses cards from several Japanese Persona 4 edition releases, including the Trial Deck, Booster pack, Extra Pack, and Extra Booster.  The pre-constructed Trial Deck will include 50 cards (same content for each deck), as well as a deck manual, playbook, playmat and rule sheet.   Selected decks will also include one of four special holo foil card designs.  The decks are packed six to a display, with eight displays per carton.  The English edition does not include gold/silver campaign coupons.

The Booster Pack will include new cards and new characters in the 100 card set, which includes 32 parallels.  Like the Trial Deck, the Booster set contains cards from several Japanese edition releases.  Gold Foil/Hot Stamp chase cards featuring autographs from Japanese voice actors and actresses will be randomly inserted into packs.  Each booster includes eight cards, with 20 boosters per display.  Four rubber playmats are included in each carton.  The English Edition does not include gold/silver campaign coupons.  With this set, English and Japanese cards may be played together in tournament formats (except in Japan).

This Weiss Schwarz release will follow the Kill la Kill expansion releasing in August and September (see "'Weiss Schwarz: Kill la Kill'").
