Only days after announcing the rebranding of its superhero comic imprint (see "Dark Circle Comics"), Archie Comics has announced the first wave of ongoing series expected to launch early next year: The Black Hood, The Shield, and The Fox.
The Black Hood will be written by Duane Swierczynski (Judge Dredd, Birds of Prey), with art by Michael Gaydos (ALIAS, True Blood). The first issue will feature a die-cut cover (pictured here) done by series artist Michael Gaydos.
The Shield will be penned by prose writers Adam Christopher (The Burning Dark) and Chuck Wendig (Blackbirds), with art by Wilfredo Torres (The Shadow: Year One).
The Fox will be penned by writer/artist Dean Haspiel (The Fox, American Splendor) and scripted by Mark Waid (Daredevil, Kingdom Come).
