Bushiroad has announced its Bushiroad 2014 World Championship will focus on English-centric releases for the three existing English-edition games: Cardfight!! Vanguard, Future Card Buddyfight and Weiss Schwarz. The Championship seasons will take run from September to December.
Last year’s World Championship included Cardfight!! Vanguard (see "'Cardfight!! Vanguard' 2013 World Championship"), but this is the first year of inclusion for Future Card Buddyfight and Weiss Schwarz. Players can participate in nine Regional Qualifiers held throughout North America, with two events being held in Latin America, four in Europe, and five in Asia-Oceania. Players participating in the Regional Qualifiers will receive an exclusive World Championship 2014 rubber playmat, as well as a lanyard and promotional card. The Regional Qualifiers have no entry fee.
Finalists from the Regional events will represent their region in the respective Continental Championships in November or December. The finalists from those Continental Championships will be invited to participate in the Finals: for CFV- the finals will be in Tokyo, Japan in late December, for FCB and WS, the world Championships will be held in the U.S. (date and location TBD).
Bushiroad will also hold a special "Thank You Festival" as a prelude to the World Championship 2014 season to celebrate the success of its English-Edition games at the Pasadena Convention Center in California on August 30-31.
