Alderac Entertainment Group will release the new Currency of War "Learn to Play Set" for its Legend of the Five Rings CCG in December.
Fully compatible with the most recent L5R CCG Ivory Edition which launched this year (see "'L5R: Ivory Edition'"), this introductory release contains two decks, one each for the Crane Clan and Mantis Clan, along with a comprehensive and illustrated rulebook. The storybook gets players up to speed on happenings in the interactive storyline of the game. The introductory conflict centers on a disagreement between the Crane and Mantis clans over a merchant caravan crossing between clan lands that spills over into both the court and the wilderness.
The box will contain: 2 Ivory-legal L5R CCG decks (Crane and Mantis clan), 4 boosters, a 16-page storybook, an illustrative rulebook, and a “vote” that allows the player to shape the future of Rokugan. MSRP is $24.99.
The last L5R Learn to Play set was Honor and Treachery in 2012 (see "'L5R: Honor and Treachery'").
