There have been some rumors flying on both Sony and Fox Marvel movies, which we collect here.  
 
According to the usually reliable Latino Review, Sony is planning to feature Aunt May as the primary character in a film with a new origin story, a-la-Agent Carter.  The plan is to put young May Reilly (her name before she married Ben Parker) in an espionage story in a Mad Men-style setting, according to the report.  Sony has denied the report of an Aunt May spin-off, according to CBR.
 
Sony has been announcing a lot of new angles on the Spider-verse, including plans for a female superhero movie for 2017 (see "A Marvel Movie with a Female Superhero") between Sinister Six (November 11, 2016) and The Amazing Spider-Man 3 (2018).  There were rumors in October, reported by Slash Film, that the Sinister Six film may be a "soft reboot" and that plans for a Venom solo movie have been scrapped (see "Venom, Sinister Six Movies").
 
Twentieth Century Fox’s Fantastic Four reboot has already announced planned changes for its origin story (see "'FF' Reboot Will Be Origin Story"), so the news that Doctor Doom’s origin story would change shouldn’t be that surprising.  Actor Toby Kebbell told Collider that "He’s Victor Domashev, not Victor Von Doom in our story.  And I’m sure I’ll be sent to jail for telling you that.  The Doom in ours--I’m a programmer.  Very anti-social programmer.  And on blogging sites I’m 'Doom'."  That would be a pretty different take from Doom as the ruler of the fictitious Eastern European nation of Latveria, a genius inventor and sorcerer, like in the comics.
 
The Fantastic Four film’s opening date was moved back to an August 7, 2015 opening in September (see "'Deadpool' Movie Gets a Date").
