Wizard Conventions has announced that attendance at its recently completed Wizard World show in Chicago broke a record for the show and for attendance at any Wizard World show. Over 48,000 people attended the show over its three day run, according to the announcement. That makes it the second largest consumer show in the ICv2 categories (comics, games, anime, toys, movie/TV merchandise), after the San Diego Comic-Con, which drew over 70,000 people this year (see 'San Diego Attendance Tops 70,000').
