Army of Darkness #1, written by Andy (Danger Girl) Hartnell, with art by Nick Bradshaw, will be released in July by Devil's Due Publishing under the Dynamite Entertainment imprint. This first issue will feature four different covers with artwork by J. Scott Campbell, Marc Silvestri and Ben Templesmith. The fourth will be a photo cover.
Dynamic Forces, which has the license for the Army of Darkness comics, will publish them through Devil's Due under the Dynamite imprint, with other titles planned for later this year, featuring top creators John Byrne and Jim Starlin.
The Army of Darkness comics will join action figures, DVDs and games (see 'Eden Studios To Do Army of Darkness') to form a powerful array of licensed products.
Devil's Due continues to grow, adding Dynamite to the roster of companies it publishes, which includes Udon (Street Fighter) Entertainment (see 'Devil's Due Does Udon') and the Dabel (Dragonlance) Brothers (see 'Roaring Studios Hedges Bets With Devil's Due').
