Although details of price, performance, and release date have not yet been released, Moore Action Collectibles has unveiled a few facts about the first action figures that will be produced under their new X-Files license (see 'Moore Action Collectibles Gets X-Files License').  Moore has received an enormous number of collector requests and is heeding those calls by producing an Assistant Director Skinner figure that will be included in the first assortment of X-Files figures.  MAC received more requests for Skinner than for any other X-Files character.

MAC will also include a figure for Agent Doggett, the new character who 'replaced' Agent Mulder as David Ducovny eased out of the series.  Unlike Mulder however, Doggett is a non-believer and skeptic, allowing Scully to engage in a little role reversal.  Doggett is now an integral part of the series, which returns for its ninth season this fall, and this will be the character's first action figure.

One of the collector-oriented concepts that MAC wishes to pursue with its X-Files figures is creating figures from memorable characters, who appear in just one classic episode.   The company has released information about its first such effort -- the beautiful and mysterious assassin Maitreya from the Season Seven episode 'First Person Shooter.'  Maitreya, who was portrayed by actress Krista Allen, is typical of the kind of colorful creations MAC will be recreating from the rich and eccentric tradition of the X-Files series.  More details about MAC's X-Files action figures should be available soon.
