Digital Manga Publishing has announced the acquisition of Yellow, a yaoi manga series by Makoto Tateno.  There are currently four volumes in Japan, and the series is ongoing there.  U.S. publication will commence in late summer or early fall of 2005, in the Japanese right to left format.  According to a Digital Manga spokesperson, Makoto Tateno has created other titles, but Yellow is her most popular. 

 

Digital Manga has also announced that it will produce a Let's Draw Manga -- Yaoi Edition.  It has not yet been scheduled.   

 

The yaoi genre, romance stories featuring male characters, is growing in popularity in the U.S.; Digital Manga has a number of other yaoi titles  (see 'Digital Manga Signs with Diamond').  Yaoi titles are generally created by women, and most of the readers are also female.
