Diamond Comic Distributors has announced that it is importing three nearly 100% accurate figures from Tim Burton's Corpse Bride stop-motion animated film, which opens September 16th. Produced in Japan (where Burton is a real favorite among American auteurs) by Jun Planning, the Corpse Bride Collection includes a seventeen-inch-tall Victor, a 14-inch-tall Victoria, and a 16-inch-tall Corpse Bride, who comes with a Bridal Bouquet. Diamond plans to ship the Jun Planning Corpse Bride Figures to retailers in December.
Tim Burton's films have spawned a plethora of merchandise, which in turn has helped create an impressive base of collectors, so in spite of the fact that McFarlane Toys has an ambitious Corpse Bride merchandise program including action figures, bendables, fashion dolls, bobble-heads and more (see 'McFarlane Toys Gets Corpse Bride'), it is still likely that plenty of collectors will want to add Jun Planning's Corpse Bride figures to their collections.
