Longtime comic retailer/dealer Kirby Gee of Crescent City Comics & Cards in New Orleans has been located. Gee, whose career in the industry has included stints as the director of Capital City Distribution's Kenner and Atlanta warehouses as well as dealing in golden and silver age comics on the convention circuit and on eBay, refused to abandon his pet cat and stayed behind and rode the storm and subsequent flood out in New Orleans. Many of the folks in New Orleans who refused to evacuate did so because of their pets, which the authorities have refused to evacuate. Members of the Crescent City crew are going to try to get Kirby and his cat out of the city on Wednesday.
