WizKids' inaugural Battlestar Galactica CCG (see 'WizKids Plans Battlestar Galactica CCG') release has been scheduled for May. The 175-card set will include 30 foil cards. Images will be drawn from the miniseries and the first two seasons.
Battlestar Galactica CCG Starter Decks ($10.99 MSRP) will include 32 fixed cards, including five exclusive foil cards; plus two Booster Packs.
Two different Starter Decks--the Military Starter, led by Commander Adama; and the Political Starter, led by President Roslin -- will be available.
The 32 fixed cards are playable as two 16-card mini-decks that can be used to learn the game. Or players can combined the 32 fixed cards with cards from the booster packs to make a full 61-card deck, ready for standard play.
One out of every four Battlestar Galactica CCG Booster Packs ($3.49 MSRP) will contain a foil card. Booster displays will each ship with one of three different display topper foils.
Marketing support for the Battlestar Galactica CCG will include ads and insert cards in Inquest, Scrye, and Sci-Fi Magazine; plus ads in Starlog and Star Wars Insider. The promo cards will include inserts that provide some game info, and will be of the most popular characters, including Number Six and Starbuck.
