Image Comics has announced a six-issue mini-series based on famed fantasy painter Frank Frazetta's series of six Death Dealer paintings.  Image's Death Dealer comic will debut in late 2006 with Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) handling the writing chores, Nat Jones providing the interior art and Jay Fotos doing the coloring.  Each of the six issues in the Death Dealer series will feature one of Frazetta's Death Dealer paintings on the cover.

Comic book industry veterans will recall the 1995-1997 Death Dealer comic (also based on the Frazetta paintings) from Glenn Danzig's Verotik Publishing that lasted for four issues.
