Jenna Coleman will continue to play the role of the Twelfth Doctor's assistant Clara Oswald for another series, the BBC announced.  Coleman joined the show in 2012 (see "First Look at 'Doctor Who's' New Companion"), and there had been rumors she would be departing before the next series.  She's played her character with two Doctors: Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi.

The most recent season was promoted with a worldwide publicity tour (see "New 'Doctor Who' Season 8 Trailer).

On the merch front, Titan is publishing comics, including a new Ninth Doctor miniseries that premieres in March, Tenth, Eleventh, and Twelfth Doctor series, and trade paperback collections.
