Ninja Division/Soda Pop Miniatures has released updated information for Super Dungeon Explore: Forgotten King, its stand-alone companion board game for the anime-styled, hack and slash dungeon crawl game. Release is currently scheduled for April 9. The game raised $1,151,889 on Kickstarter (see "Another $1+ Million Tabletop Game Kickstarter").
The main Forgotten King game will include 58 pre-assembled plastic models (5 Heroes, 6 Pets, 3 Boss Monsters, 39 Minion Monsters, 5 Treasure Chests), 6 double-sided dungeon tiles, 150+ full color game cards, 150+ full color tokens, a 32-page "Classic Mode" rulebook, a 40-page "Arcade Mode" rulebook, and a 20-page Explorer’s Handbook. The game is for 1-6 players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 90-120 minutes. MSRP is $99.95.
There will also be a Forgotten King Upgrade Deck, which includes updated cards for every previous Super Dungeon Explore model to use with the new rules. MSRP is $14.95.
Several of the stand-alone minis from the Kickstarter will receive a limited retail release shortly after game launch: Brave-Mode Candy, Captain R, Herald of Vulcanis, Kaelly the Nether Strider, Nyan-Nyan, and Succubus Vandella. Each model will be preassembled and include treasure cards. MSRP will be $12.95 each.
