The CW is extending and expanding its relationship with DC for programming, and has made a series of announcements about current and potential new shows.  The CW announced via Twitter that it’s planning a new animated series, Vixen, for its digital platform Seed.  The new show will feature Arrow and The Flash, according to the announcement.

Extending its plans for Arrow and The Flash (its top-rated show), the network has announced that it is renewing both series for next year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The CW has also indicated that it’s interested in expanding its live action DC universe with an additional show.  While no specifics have been released, when Arrow executive producer Greg Berlanti was asked on a press tour whether Atom, played by Brandon Routh on Arrow, would be the focus of a new show he indicated that there was interest.  "We’re in very early talks in a very general idea that we haven’t gone deeper on yet," he said, according to the Reporter.  Routh has indicated that he’s willing to continue with the role.

CW’s obviously very happy with Arrow and The Flash, which set a network record with its premiere episode (see "DC TV Ratings Record, and Strong").
