At Toy Fair, Diamond Select was previewing upcoming DC Comics related products including several items from Batman: The Animated Series.
"The DC Animated universe is our newest license," Diamond Select Marketing Supervisor Zack Oat told ICv2. "We have the Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League, and the Superman series. We soliciting Supergirl in the new previews, but we haven’t shown any of these others before this show. We’ll be rolling them out over the course of the coming year. We have products here that are scheduled through the middle of 2016." The line includes resin busts, pvc statutes for the Femme Fatales line, vinyl bust banks, metal bottle openers and cookie jars.
There are also black and white editions of select statues and busts. "We’re exploring doing some black and white variants because there was an episode that has some black and white flashbacks," Oat said. "So we can do authentic black and white variations on them."
"The (Batman) Classic TV Series items have been doing well for us, so we’ll be continuing that line," said Oat. The company plans vinyl banks for Joker and Penguin, as well as a Batman logo cookie jar.
Additional Diamond Comic Distributors offerings will include a new Harley Quinn Bust Bank from Monogram International, Inc. "The Infinity Gauntlet one was a big item, so this is the next one," said Deborah Moreland, Diamond PR and Marketing Associate.
The Red Sun Superman and Batman Flashpoint products from Medicom Toy were also on display. Release dates were not announced.
