Lauren German has been cast as the female lead in Lucifer, the new drama series based on the comics spun out of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman, according to Deadline. The character is Chloe Dancer, an LAPD homicide detective who’s collaborating with Lucifer to solve a murder. German has a significant TV resume, most recently in Chicago Fire.
German will play opposite Tom Ellis, who has been cast in the title role (see "'Lucifer' Cast"). Jerry Bruckheimer and Sleepy Hollow creator Len Wiseman are behind the show, which is moving ahead to a pilot for Fox.
