Marvel Studios has unveiled a new character poster for Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron that features the eponymous robot himself looking very formidable as he stalks through a ruined cityscape. The excitement is building as Age of Ultron’s debut date of May 1st grows ever closer, and today we got our first look at a stunning new 1/6th scale figure of Black Widow, which should be on toy shelves by the end of the third quarter, and decorating more than a few geek dens before the end of the year.
The new Black Widow figure, which stands 28 centimeters tall, was first revealed on the Hot Toys Facebook page. The pictures reveal a figure that is, given the limitations of vinyl, a very accurate rendering of the likeness of actress Scarlett Johansson. It features 28 points of articulation, and plenty of accessories including a pistol, a dagger, batons, and two blasters along with four pairs of interchangeable hands to handle the various weapons.
No price has been announced for this figure, which is clearly intended for the movie collector market. Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron will debut nationwide on May 1st, 2015. There will be a plethora of licensed products available for Age of Ultron including a Marvel publishing program that features variant covers (see "'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Movie Variants") as well as games from WizKids that include a Marvel HeroClix: Avengers--Age of Ultron set due in April, and a Marvel Dice Masters: Avengers--Age of Ultron game that ships in May.
