Much like death metal, love in Sweden can be dark and brutal, at least as Kim W. Andersson imagines it.  Dark Horse Comics will release the Swedish author’s horror-romance comics collection The Complete Love Hurts on October 28.

The collection will be Andersson’s U.S. graphic novel debut, and the massive tome of sadistic, twisted romance comics will include 200 pages of short stories featuring murderous reality TV show stars, heartbroken astronauts, and lovelorn supervillains.  The material will include stories from Dark Horse Presents, the Swedish alternative comics anthology From the Shadow of the Northern Lights, and other releases. The book will feature a foreword by Peter Snejberg  (Preacher, B.P.R.D., Starman).  MSRP is $19.99.
