Valiant Entertainment has named Gavin Cuneo Chief Operating Officer, the company announced today. Cuneo’s expanded role will include continuing to grow the company’s business operations in print, licensing, digital, and film. Cuneo joined the company in 2011 as CFO & Head of Strategic Development, and as a member of the Board of Directors. He will retain his CFO duties in his new position.
Cuneo’s experience prior to Valiant includes more than a decade working in the financial sector at both Merrill Lynch & Co, and the U.S. Trust Company.
"Gavin has played a vital part in Valiant’s success over the past four years and his new title reflects the broader leadership role he already serves within the company," said Valiant CEO & Chief Creative Officer Dinesh Shamdasani. "Since Valiant’s return, he has not only led our financial and capital-raising efforts, but informed all facets of the company’s operations as well."
ICv2 interviewed Shamdasani and Cuneo regarding the change, as well as discussing Valiant’s new financing and plans moving forward (see "ICv2 Interview: Valiant CEO and COO").
