DC is offering two notable hardcover collections of classics in time for the holidays: a definitive The Dark Knight Returns collection and a 75th anniversary selection of Green Lantern stories.
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Deluxe Edition will offer both of Frank Miller’s Dark Knight stories, originally published as Batman: The Dark Knight Returns #1-#4 and Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again #1-#3, in one hardcover volume. The 512 page, 7.0625” x 10.875” edition, due out September 23, will retail for $49.99. All written by Frank Miller, with art by Miller and Klaus Janson.
Green Lantern: A Celebration of 75 Years is another in the series of hardcover volumes DC has been doing in honor of the 75th anniversary of its various characters (and teams). Writers include John Broome, Dennis O’Neil, and Geoff Johns, and others, with art by Martin Nodell, Gil Kane, and Neal Adams, among others. Cover art is by Scott Williams and Jim Lee. The 400-page volume, due for release September 30, will retail for $39.99.
