The first Star Wars Anthology film Rogue One has cast Diego Luna as its male lead, according to Variety.

Mexican actor Luna (Milk, Y Tu Mama Tambien) will join female lead Felicity Jones and Riz Ahmed (Four Lions, Nightcrawler) on the rebel side, and Ben Mendelsohn (Exodus, Gods and Kings, The Dark Knight Rises) will be the film’s main villain. The plot revolves around a band of resistance fighters who plot to steal plans for the Death Star (see “'Star Wars' Stand-Alone News”). The Varity article also states the cast is slated to include a large ensemble, like The Dirty Dozen or Saving Private Ryan.

Rogue One will release in theaters on December 16, 2016 (see “Best in Shows--Q4 2016”).
