The trailer presents the history of the characters and sets up the conflict with Vandal Savage (a Justice League of Ameica and Justice Society villain in the DC comic books), as well as revealing that Caity Lotz (the original Black Canary on Arrow who was killed) will play a resurrected version of herself dubbed the White Canary. However Franz Drameh/Jay Jackson is not featured in this trailer, so his hero role still remains a mystery.
