Spinderella was named the 2015 Kinderspiel des Jahres  winner, the Best Children’s Game category, for the prestigious German game design competition.

The game is designed by Roberto Fraga and published by Zoch Verlag. There is currently no North American publisher. This multi-level forest race game has players trying to get their three little ants home first. But players also control spiders, which lurk in the trees above, which are manipulated by using a magnetic mechanism to have their spiders drop down on their opponents’ ants, returning them to the starting line.

The game is for 2-4 players, ages 6 and up and plays in 20 minutes.

The Spiel des Jarhres (Game of the Year) and Kennerspiel des Jahres (Connoisseur-Enthusiast Game of the Year) will be announced on July 6 in Berlin. The nominees list can be seen here “2015 'Spiel des Jahres' Nominations.”
