Comic-Con News: At the Superman Panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, DC Comics announced two new Superman miniseries, both of which will debut in November. Veteran comic book artist Neil Adams is both writing and drawing a six-issue series, Coming of the Supermen, which will feature the Man of Steel taking on Darkseid in a struggle so fraught with danger that he has to get help from the denizens of the Bottle City of Kandor.
Unlike Coming of the Supermen, which will be all Neal Adams, the other Superman miniseries announced at Comic-Con, the seven-issue Superman: Alien American is a collaboration between screenwriter Max Landis (Chronicle) and a group of artists that includes Jock, Nick Dragotta, Tommy Lee Edwards, Joelle Jones, Jae Lee, Francis Manapul, and Jonathan Case. Each artist will draw one of the issues, and each issue will tell a distinct story from the life and career of Superman/Clark Kent.
