Comic-Con News:  At Marvel’s “Cup of Joe” Panel the big news was Marvel’s first Star Wars crossover, which will involve the two top books in the Marvel Star Wars lineup, Star Wars and Darth Vader, and which will debut in November as the excitement for the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens builds to an expected fever pitch.

The six issue crossover event in which Vader’s ship crashes and he becomes the “hunted” instead of the “hunter, will begin in the oversized Vader Down #1, which will be written by Jason Aaron (Star Wars) and Kieron Gillen (Darth Vader).

The crossover will then continue in the monthly Star Wars and Darth Vader comics.  As the Inquistor reports, the crossover will allow the characters from the two top Marvel Star Wars comics to interact with Vader’s evil droids (0-0-0 and BT-1) going up against R2-D2 and C-3PO for example.  Look for more details about Marvel’s first Star Wars crossover in the coming weeks.

At Comic-Con Marvel earlier announced the release of a Chewbacca series (see “Marvel Announces Chewbacca Series”).
