Darby Pop Publishing, the creator-owned comics imprint started by director/showrunner Jeffrey Kline, is moving from IDW Publishing to Magnetic Press, beginning in October.  The first Darby Pop series distributed under the Magnetic Press banner will be Sidekicked, a 96-page graphic novel collecting the first arc of the series written by Russell Brettholtz and illustrated by Miguel Mendonca.  Future Darby Pop releases are planned for at least every other month.

Darby Pop started with IDW back in 2013 (see “Comic-Con Round-Up:  IDW Publishing”), and released five series (with trade paperback collections) including City:  The Mind in the Machine, by Eric Garcia (Matchstick Men, Repo Men); The 7th Sword, by John Raffo (Dragon, the Bruce Lee Story, The Relic, The Interpreter); Doberman, by Scott Marder and Rob Rosell (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Unsupervised); Dead Squad, by Matthew Federman and Steven Scaia; and Indestructible, by Kline.
