Multi-player Magic:The Gathering continues to be popular, and Wizards of the Coast has announced plans to support the Commander format this year with five new two-color decks in the Magic: The Gathering--Commander (2015) card set. The new decks release on November 13.
The 100-card pre-constructed Commander format decks will each include 15 new Magic cards, with a total of 55 different new cards. Each deck also features an oversized foil Commander Card, 10 double-sided tokens, a deck box, and a rules insert with strategy hints. MSRP is $34.99 on each deck.
The decks are all built using cards from two "enemy" colors. The new cards will be legal for Vintage and Legacy format tournaments, but not for Standard, Block Constructed, or Modern formats.
The new decks will be released about a month after the release of the Battle for Zendikar expansion set, which premiers the new two block format (see "First Release For New 'M:TG' Format Announced").
