Japanime plans to release the Flunch Set of promotional figures, six figures based on real people at the Improma restaurant, with Krosmaster Quest (see “'Krosmaster Quest,' 'Krosmaster Junior,' More”).  Kickstarter backers will receive the set with their game, and later pre-orders will receive three of the six figures. “If retailers are interested in getting some of the promo characters, they can contact [Organized Play Manager Richard Gain],“ Darling said.

Darling also had updates on Krosmaster Arena Season 4 releases. “Season 4 is going to be Halloween theme, with a cemetery map, monster figures and some figures that are featured in the new Wakfu OVA that’s going to be available on Netflix.”

“The Season 4 OP kit will include the Dark Heroes tokens and 3-D terrain for the upcoming Graveyard map,” Darling added.

Japanime will also be releasing two new figures, Cardboard Samurai and Nemesis Samurai, at the PAX Prime convention, which will release to trade at a later date. “Those figures are going to be exclusive until the end of the year to PAX attendees only and then they’ll be opened up for retail and distribution,” Darling said. “They’re going to be available as separate figures.” MSRP was not announced.

The company also plans to bring organized play to Tanto Cuore deck-building card game soon. “We’re bringing Tanto to stores as organized play. People have wanted that for a while.  So it’s a 7-kit series with exclusive promos and play mats as prizes. People are wild about the Tanto Cuore promos that they can’t normally get, so that’s going to be part of the organized play system.” Japanime was pre-selling kits at the show.

There is a new “butlers” edition in the works for Tanto Cuore, which was announced at Japanime’s Gen Con panel. “(W)hen we announced that at the panel, all of the young ladies were very excited about that,” Darling said. “To be honest, it’s a fan project in the sense that we’ve just had so many requests for butlers. “
