In addition to a number of cards designed to work with the Aqua Force, the new expansion will introduce a new game mechanic, the “Wave” ability, and Jaime’s trump card. The cards in the set can be used to create effective new Aqua Force decks, or as a reinforcement for older deck designs, with a number of cards that can be used to power up Aqua Force cards released in previous card sets.
The Commander of the Incessant Waves booster set includes 40 cards with these rarities: GR: 1 / RRR: 4 / RR: 7 / R: 12 / C: 16, plus 6 SP parallel cards, some with alternate illustrations and including a reissued “Couple Dagger Sailor” PR card. It will be packaged in seven card booster packs, with each pack having one R card plus a second R or above. Packs will come 12 to a display.
Participating stores can host a pre-release event during the weekend of December 4, and Sneak Preview kits will be made available. Each kit has 32 booster packs (enough for 8 participants), 9 promo cards, and two Aqua Force playmats.
Bushiroad started its program of releasing booster sets designed for specific Clans earlier this month with the Academy of Divas expansion (see “‘Cardfight!! Vanguard’ Adds Clan-Specific Booster Sets”). The first expansion based on the original Cardfight!! Vanguard G manga will release in November (see “First ‘Comic Booster’ for ‘Cardfight!! Vanguard G’”).
