The 2016 volumes are Dinosaurs, by MK Reed and Joe Flood, and Coral Reefs, by Maris Wicks, for Spring; and Volcanoes, by Jon Chad, for Fall. Future volumes will be published one per season; topics will include flying machines, bats, and the solar system.

Graphic Novels from First Second

First Second Books will launch Science Comics, a new series of 128-page non-fiction graphic novels directed at middle-grade readers, next spring. Each volume will cover a single topic in a narrative, with topics from the fields of biology, chemistry, and physics. Expanding the educational cred, each volume will have an introduction by a leading expert in the field.
