Bushiroad will release Love Live! Vol. 2, a new expansion for its popular Weiss Schwarz trading card game, on December 18.

Like this summer’s Love Live! DX booster expansion (see “‘Weiss Schwarz:  Love Live!  DX’”), this new card set is based on the multimedia Love Live! School Idol Project property, which includes manga, music, anime, and video games.  The story centers around the “μ’s” (“muse”), a group of school girls who become music idols to save their school. The first Trial Deck and Booster release launched in May 2014 (see “'Weiss Schwarz: Love Live!'”).

The new set will be available in the Love Live!  Feat. School Idol Festival Trial Deck, which includes cards inspired by the mobile game Love Live! School Idol Festival, and is built around the special “Music” and “Swimsuit” attributes.  Each pre-constructed deck includes 50 cards, rule sheet, deck manual, playbook, and playmat, as well as 2 out of 9 possible RRR parallel foil cards.

Love Live!  Vol. 2 Booster Packs will also be available, each with 8 random cards.  The total collection includes 100 cards with 27 parallels.  There are 3 of 9 PR cards randomly inserted in each display, along with a code for the Love Live! School Idol Festival mobile game.

The English language Love Live!  Vol. 2 packs will not include gold/silver campaign coupons or the PR cards included in the Japanese Edition.  They may only be used in tournaments held outside of Japan.

Bushiroad will also release the Love Live! Vol. 2 Meister Set, targeting game collectors.  Each Meister Set includes a rubber playmat, a storage box featuring the girls of the μ’s that can hold up to 700 cards, and an exclusive PR card.  Also included are ten Love Live!  Vol. 2 Booster Packs.
