'Imitation of Life' Character Model
Dynamite Entertainment has announced David F. Walker will return for another round of his award-winning Shaft comic series in February 2016.  The Grumpy Cat and Pokey  miniseries will also return in February.

Shaft: Imitation of Life  will pick up after the events of the Glyph Comics Award winning Shaft: A Complicated Man  (see “Dynamite's 'Shaft' Comes to Trade Paperback”). The six-part miniseries will be written by Walker, with art by Dietrich Smith (Battlestar Galactica, Army of Darkness). The first issue will debut alongside Shaft’s Revenge, the first of Dynamite’s new prose novel series, which is also written by Walker.

The comic story follows Shaft in the wake of a high-profile case, which put him in the spotlight, and in danger.  He takes a low-profile missing person case which is more complicated than in seems.  His other new job, as a consultant on a low budget movie that may or may not be biographical, also puts him in harm’s way.

Shaft’s Revenge is the first new Shaft prose story in 40 years. When the Godfather of Harlem asks Shaft for a favor, the detective is suddenly caught in a web of murder and mayhem.  Shaft must face past mistakes and settle old scores if he hopes to make it out alive.
