Modiphius has signed a licensing deal with Dreamworks to produce an official board game based on the popular Kung Fu Panda films and animated series.  The co-operative action game has players take the role of Po or one of the Furious Five (Tigress, Monkey, Mantis, Crane, or Viper) as they work together with intense dice rolling action to defeat Tai Lung and other villains. Players gain Kharma to upgrade their characters’ abilities as they progress through a series of adventures: defeating villains, completing quests and helping others.  They can also gain legendary artifacts from Master Shifu to help as they face increasingly deadly perils. The game will debut at Gen Con 2016, and release to trade in September 2016.

Original cover
Modiphius has teamed with Cabinet Entertainment for a new edition of the classic Mutant Chronicles miniatures board game Siege of the Citadel.  The new edition has been designed by (original designer) Richard Borg (Memoir ’44, BattleLore), Eric Lang (Arcadia Quest, Dice Masters), and Kevin Wilson (Descent: Journeys in the Dark, Cosmic Encounter); with miniatures sculpted by Prodos Games and Paolo Parente.

Players control one of five corporations (Imperial, Cybertronic, Mishima, Capitol, or Bauhaus), which each control unique Doomtroopers with special abilities.  The players must prevent the Dark Legion from conquering the solar system by completing a series of mission campaigns, gaining abilities and more powerful weapons as they progress.  The game narrative has been updated to include new campaigns based on major events from the Mutant Chronicles universe. Release date and MSRP were not announced.
