ComicsPRO announced plans to hold the celebration in August (see “ComicsPRO Announces 'Local Comic Shop Day'”) and began announcing participating publishers and exclusive material later that month (see “ComicsPRO News--Local Comic Shop Day”). There are 13 publishers offering 20 exclusive comic and graphic novel variant covers or collected editions. ComicsPRO told ICv2 there are 385 storefronts participating in the first annual event.
