HBO has released the Game of Thrones Season Six teaser poster and premiere date, and the poster’s subject is a bit of a spoiler.

The poster features fan-favorite character Jon Snow, who died at the end of Season Five. 

The bloody, dark poster gives no clue to his condition - alive or undead. It only carries the teaser season debut month of April.

Michael Lombardo, President of Programming at HBO, said this summer that Game of Thrones will likely end after eight seasons. He also confirmed that Snow is indeed dead (see “'Game of Thrones' Likely to End After 8 Seasons”).
