Haba USA plans to release three new Euro-style board games in the first few months of 2016: Adventure Land, Karuba, and Spookies.

Adventure Land was designed by the famous team of Wolfgang Kramer and Michael Kiesling (Tikal, Coal Baron).  In this title, players lead their teams of adventurers out into the land, braving the dangerous “fog creatures” and gathering gold and valuable herbs as they seek the favor of King Agamis.  Three different scenarios provide different levels of difficulty for the players.

The game includes 1 board, 110 terrain cards, 40 wooden adventurer pawns, 30 companions, 1 water sprite, 80 tiles, 4 scoring markers, and 3 dice.  Adventure Land is for 2 to 4 players, ages 10 and up, and plays in about 45 minutes.  MSRP is $39.99.

Rudiger Dorn’s (Goa, Istanbul) board game Karuba sends would be treasure hunters to the mysterious island of the same name, where they race each other through the unmapped jungle in search of gold, gems, and lost temple ruins to loot.  The player that can gather the most valuable pile of treasure wins.

Karuba includes 4 player boards, 64 crystals, 12 gold nuggets, 16 temple treasures, 16 wooden adventurer pawns, 16 wooden temple pawns, and 144 jungle tiles.  Intended for 2 to 4 players, ages 10 and up, the game plays in about 40 minutes.  MSRP is $34.99.

Rounding out the trio of new titles is the family-friendly haunted house game Spookies, designed by Stefan Kloss (Beasty Bar) and illustrated by Michael Menzel.  Four brave friends and their dog sneak into a haunted house on the night of a full moon, daring each other to explore deeper into the house—using a “push your luck” mechanic to score “Spookies-points”.

Spookies includes 1 game board, 5 wooden pawns, 5 dice, and 75 Spookie chips.  The game is for  2 to 5 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in  about 30 minutes.  MSRP is $24.99.
