In Food Chain Magnate, the players are the presidents of their own fast food chains, competing to expand their burger business across the city.  The game uses cards to represent the personnel working at the various chains, which are the principal “resource” that players must manage.  In order to be successful, the players need to balance purchasing, marketing, and sales across the variable game board while maintaining a favorable work environment for their most important employees.

The design team for Food Chain Magnate, Jeroen Doumen and Joris Wiersinga, has developed a reputation for designing games for “serious gamers” that have more complex mechanics, such as the critically acclaimed Roads & Boats, now in its fourth edition.

Food Chain Magnate is intended for 2 to 5 players, ages 14 and up, and takes 2 to 4 hours to play.  It was manufactured in the Netherlands.  MSRP has not yet been announced.
