In its March Previews solicitations, DC Comics has announced several collected editions due this spring: Supergirl: The Silver Age Omnibus,  Absolute Preacher Vol. 1, Kingdom Come 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, and Black Lightning.

Planned for release on May 18, the Supergirl: The Silver Age Omnibus hardcover collects the Girl of Steel’s adventures from Action Comics #252 – 307. The collection is written by Otto Binder, Leo Dorfman and Jerry Siegel; with art by Jim Mooney And Al Plastino and a cover by Darwyn Cooke.  The 688-page collection has an MSRP of $75.00.

Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s Absolute Preacher Vol.1 hardcover will come in an oversized Absolute Edition (8.25” x 12.5”), with a new slipcase, bonus material and a cover by Glenn Fabry.  The collection includes issues #1 – 26 of the series.  The 736-page collection has an MSRP of $150.00. Release is planned for July 6, well timed for new fans of the AMC show based on the series, which premieres in May (see “First 'Preacher' Trailer”).

Releasing on May 11 is Mark Waid and Alex Ross’s Kingdom Come 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition HC.  The best-selling graphic novel won five Eisner and Harvey Awards.  The new 340-page 20th Anniversary edition includes sketch material and more extras which provide insight into the world created in the series. MSRP is $39.99.

The new 224-page Black Lightning trade paperback collection will include issues #1 – 11 of the 1970s series as well as a story from Cancelled Comics Cavalcade. The series is written by Tony Isabella, with art Trevor Von Eeden, Frank Springer and Vince Colletta; and a cover by Rich Buckler and Frank Springer. Release is planned for April 6.  MSRP is $19.99.
