Portal Games New Logo
Portal Games has announced plans to release three new titles this year:  First Martians:  Adventures on the Red Planet will release at Spiel in October, Cry Havoc releases at Gen Con, and 51st State Master Set is scheduled for the second quarter.

Using the same core mechanics as his award-winning Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island, designer Ignacy Trzewiczek’s First Martians:  Adventures on the Red Planet challenges players to survive in the inhospitable habitat of the Martian desert.  Using an integrated smartphone app to control gameplay, First Martians offers a “Campaign Mode” with linked games and an “Open World” mode where players explore the red planet as long as their survival skills allow.

In Cry Havoc, players are military commanders in a brutal future, leading one of four different factions into battle.  Each faction will have unique units and abilities, represented in the game by 54 miniatures and more than 100 game cards.  Cry Havoc was designed by the three-man team of Grant Rodiek (Farmageddon), Michal Oracz (Neuroshima Hex!), and Michal Walczak (Legacy:  The Testament of Duke de Crecy—Five Families).

The 51st State Master Set is a relaunch for Trzewiczek’s card game of post-apocalyptic America.  This set will include 88 cards from the original base game and 50 cards from the New Era and Winter expansions.  The cards included have been re-balanced for improved gameplay, and feature new artwork and a new layout design.
