Fireside Games has announced the release of the steampunk airship building game Dastardly Dirigibles for July.

Players take the roles of engineers competing to inherit the Hornswoggle airship building factory as Professor Phineas Edmund Hornswoggle prepares to retire. Players build their airship from different parts of 9 different suits using tarot sized cards. The trick is, each time a part is added, ALL players MUST add the SAME part—which may replace an existing one. There are special cards players can use to their advantage or to thwart opponents. The round ends when the first airship is complete, but players score only the suit used most in their airship. The player with the highest score after three rounds wins.

The game is for 2 - 5 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in an hour. MSRP is $19.95.

Fireside recently announced a new edition of Bears! and a retailer demo kit available with launch (see “ICv2: Fireside Unveils Demo Kit for 'Bears!' Second Edition”).
