Cryptozoic has announced a Q3 release for Poker Assault, a new card game that spins that classic game of poker in new ways, employing poker hands in combination with special decks and cards.

Poker Assault is a fast-playing game for 2 – 4 players that plays in less than half-an-hour, where players can take the role of one of four factions: the Wolf Pack, the Vampire Court, the Rocket Patrol, or the Invaders. Each faction has its own 52-card poker deck, each with unique abilities. Certain cards in each deck have their own effects and powers, and gathering certain poker hands have unique effects for each faction. Assault the other players, and knock their hit points to zero to win.

Poker Assault includes 1 Vampire Court Poker Deck, 1 Wolf Pack Poker Deck, 1 The Invaders Poke Deck, 1 Rocket Patrol Poker Deck, 4 sets of 8 Power Cards, Hit Point Tokens for four players, and a rulebook. MSRP is not yet announced.

Also coming out soon from Cryptozoic is Crossover Crisis, a deckbuilding game featuring popular characters from Cartoon Network (see "Carton Network, Cryptozoic Create 'Crossover Crisis'").
