Marvel has confirmed to ICv2 that it plans two prequel projects for the upcoming Star Wars film Star Wars:  Rogue One.  Both a three-issue miniseries and a one-shot, both prequels to the film, will launch in October.

Little news on the film has been available (especially considering the long run-up to Star Wars:  The Force Awakens) since the announcement of the cast and release of a cast photo last summer (see “’Star Wars’ D23 News Round-Up”).

Star Wars:  Rogue One, the first of the Star Wars Anthology films, will be released December 16 (see “Best in Shows—Q4 2016”), between the first two films of the new Star Wars trilogy.
