Crash of Games announced three new games for late spring release: Fish Frenzy, Plums, and Backyard Builders Treehouse. At the GAMA Trade Show, ICv2 spoke with Crash of Games’ Daniel Barron to learn more about them.

Fish Frenzy is a set collection game where players are trying to gobble up fish cards by landing them on boats. However if more than one player lands on a specific boat, players must spend currency to kick the other fish off the boat. The game is designed by Brent J. Gilbert with art by Kwanchai Moriya. The game is for 3 – 5 players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 30 minutes. MSRP is $29.99.

Pegasus Spiele’s Plums is a trick-taking game designed by Matthias Cramer. Players throw down their highest card to be able to pick up a card which will hopefully have a scoring mechanic or a special ability, while also trying to create specific fruit mixes which are worth victory points.  The game is for 3 – 5 players, ages 8 and up and plays in 30 minutes. MSRP is $24.99.

Backyard Builders Treehouse is a quick drafting game with a simple pick-a-card, play-a-card mechanic. Players build their treehouses by either matching color-to-color or number-to-number. Players also have an option of flipping cards over to the backside as a wild card. The player with the most points after a set number of rounds (depending on number of players) wins.  There are additional variants which include specific achievement condition required by the end of the game. The game is for 2 – 5 players, ages 13 and up, and plays in 10 minutes. MSRP is $19.99.
