Asmodee and Hurrican have revealed the new version of the deduction game Mr. Jack, scheduled to release in Q3.

Set in the gas-lit Whitechapel area of London, Mr. Jack is a two player game of bluff and deduction created by veteran game designers Bruno Cathala (Five Tribes, Cyclades) and Ludovic Maublanc (Cyclades, Ca$h ‘n Guns).  One player assumes the role of the notorious murderer, while the other leads a team of investigators trying to identify the killer as they strategically move the game’s characters around the streets of Whitechapel.

The new version of Mr. Jack celebrates the game’s tenth year with all-new artwork by Piero, who did the artwork for the original version of the game.  The new game board is darker and more evocative of London at night, and the new character illustrations depict the same characters as the original game, only ten years older.  The game system has not been changed, but there have been some small adjustments to the game board to improve balance between the Jack player and the inspector.

Mr. Jack includes 1 game board, 8 wooden character tokens, 8 alibi cards, 8 game tiles, and 1 turn counter token.  The game is intended for 2 players, ages 9 and up, and plays in about half an hour.  MSRP is $42.99.
