Spartan Games has revealed two “big” model releases for this summer: the UNSC Pelican Dropship and the Covenant Phantom Dropship, both for use with its Halo: Ground Command tabletop miniatures game.

Based on the digital models in the Halo video games, these resin models present two iconic vehicles from the Halo universe, measuring almost 30cm in length (about 12 inches), making them the largest models Spartan has developed to date.

Each kit comes with one complete unpainted and unassembled multi-piece resin model of a dropship, an acrylic flight stand, miniatures from the related faction, weapons, an ownership certificate, and assembly instructions.  Though the models are resin, Spartan has indicated that they may include some pewter components.

Both models are currently under development and are pending licensor approval, but Spartan expects to release them this summer.  The kits will have a retail price of £75.00, or about $110.00 U.S. Dollars.

The 1:100 scale tabletop miniatures game Halo:  Ground Command is also scheduled to release this summer (see “Spartan Games Reveals ‘Halo:  Ground Command’”).
