Modiphius plans to launch a new type of organized play for its roleplaying games: a series of living campaigns called Frontiers.

The living campaigns will be regularly released scenarios and missions for its Achtung! Cthulhu, Conan, Mutant Chronicles and Infinity RPGs. Players can play the scenarios, report back to Modiphius with results, and the compiled data will shape the overall storyline of future campaigns.

The campaigns will launch later this year, beginning with Achtung! Cthulhu, then Mutant Chronicles. Conan and Infinity will follow next year. Modiphius plans to host the finale of its first living campaign events at this year's Dragonmeet Tabletop Convention in London in December.  In 2017 it will include further European and USA conventions in the campaigns.

Stores will be invited to participate in the campaigns by listing their location for mini events, Modiphius’ Chris Birch told ICv2.  Currently, Modiphius is running a survey to find out what story elements and types of events players and stores are interested in. Birch encouraged stores to take part in the survey on its website.

“Whilst Modiphius is still researching to see what players and GM's would most like, we do intend to support stores as part of the program. Our current plan is to let stores sign up for special events to hold in-store and we will support them with promo materials, bonus content and so on,” Birth said via email. “Participating stores will be advertised in the online program so people can see where their nearest participation events are.”

Birch added that the final commercial versions of the living campaign will be on sale through normal distribution channels, and will include credits for all participating players, GM's, stores and events.
