Osprey Games will release two new supplements for its fantasy skirmish game Frostgrave: Into the Breeding Pits and Forgotten Pacts.

Written by Joseph McCullough, Into the Breeding Pits sends players’ warbands into the vast network of catacombs, sewers and dungeons that run below the Frozen City.  In these subterranean depths, ancient wizards known as Beastcrafters experimented on various creatures, creating new deadly monsters, many of which still roam the darkened passages. The book contains new scenarios and treasures, as well as rules for using traps and secret passageways. There is also an expanded bestiary included in the book.  The 64-page paperback has an MSRP of $18.00. Release is planned for July 13.

Also written by McCullough, Forgotten Pacts leads players North of the city, to explore ruined temples to learn the lost art of evocation – demon summoning. Despite the promise of powerful magic, few wizards attempt the journey, because the region is overrun by barbaric tribesmen. Many of these barbarians have marked themselves with demonic sigils found in the temples, making them fierce foes.  The book contains new scenarios, as well as new treasures, spells, soldiers and creatures that can be found in the ruins. The 64-page paperback has an MSRP of $18.00. Release is planned for November 22.

Frostgrave is a relatively new game released last year, combining elements of a fantasy skirmish game with elements of a roleplaying game (see “Review: 'Frostgrave: Fantasy Wargames in the Frozen City'”).
